Dear Cat Lover,

A few months ago a dear friend called and was sobbing uncontrollably. Lily, her sweet tabby that has been a member of her family for five years, was very ill. She was too upset to drive and asked if I would drive them to the Vet.

When I first laid eyes on Lily, I was shocked to see the condition she was in. She was listless and looked emaciated. Her fur was dull and I noticed a bit of foam around her mouth.
